Our moves are similar to civilian relocations, except we have to do it much more often and more times than not - the active duty military member either had to report ahead of the move, or had a school en route or has been on a remote or some other reason they could not to be with the family during the move. It is stressful but with the proper support and planning it can be done relatively painlessly. That is part of my job. Support and information to help make your move less stressful. I have been there, many, many times and I would be honored if you would allow me to help you.
Congratulations, you are moving to Bay County Florida, home of the 'Most Beautiful Beaches in the World'. Now comes the questions. First is usually "how can I make this easier on me and my family?" Answer - you are here, so you are well on your way already! I am a long-time Bay County resident. I love to help people get comfortable with their new area and find them their new home. I am a committed full time professional with years of experience helping people from all over, relocate to Panama City and the surrounding area.
Here are some quick tips to think about -
Be sure to educate yourself - you can never know too much about an area - for instance did you know Bay County is home to both Tyndall AFB and Navy Coastal System Station? Did you know we have a deep water port? For this and much more I hope you find this site useful.
Plan ahead, but not too far ahead. Life has a way of changing plans.
Keep an open mind - and please be realistic. Families from New York and California are pleasantly surprised with our market. Our home prices are much less. But folks from the mid-west - not so much.
Expect the unexpected.
If you are buying locally -- it will be a much easier transaction if you finance locally.
