Founded in the early 1800’s, the City of Parkers sits between St. Andrews Bay and Martin Lake. Approximately six miles of East Bay waterfront serve as Parker’s southern border across from Tyndall Air Force Base. With a population of approximately 5000 citizens, Parker offers the close knit atmosphere of a small town while providing the services associated with a much larger city. Hosting a large Sports Complex, a unique educational park, a Volunteer Fire Department and its own Police Department.
Parker is home to one of the most beautiful parks in Bay County, ‘Under the Oaks’. Under the Oaks is a water front Park just minutes from Tyndall AFB. Amenities include a canoe launch with a stop on the St. Andrews Paddling Trail, a picnic pavilion with tables and benches, restrooms, water fountains, Park Benches, Fishing/observation pier, a wildlife observation platform, patron parking area and a beautiful walking trail (3.4 miles).
