More about Bay County, Panama City and Panama City Beach~

Bay County is a unique area filled with contradictions and a rich heritage. We are proud to be home to Tyndall AFB on the east side of the county and the Navy Coastal System Station on the west side of the Hathaway Bridge.

We are extremely proud of the men and women who give so much to our country. To their honor there are numerous memorials around Bay County including the Panama City marina and in Veterans Park in Callaway.

The Bay County area is made up of several communities including,Panama CityPanama City Beach,  Callaway, Parker, Springfield, Lynn Haven  and numerous unincorporated areas, Cedar grove, Highland Park, Southport.  And there are many neighborhoods with names like 'the Cove' and St Andrews. You really will have a difficult time telling when you leave one and enter another with three notable exceptions. First, Panama City and Panama City Beach are divided by the Hathaway Bridge, which spans St. Andrew Bay. Second the Bailey Bridge spans North Bay and separates Lynn Haven on the south side and Southport on the north side. Third is the Dupont bridge which spans East Bay, and marks the beginning of Tyndall AFB and the east boundary of Parker.

The Bay County area has numerous working and private marinas’ as well as many public boat ramps scattered around the county, providing easy access to the Bays and Gulf of Mexico.  Bay County is a
water sport hobbyists dream come true. Boating, Sailing, jet skies, Skiing, snorkeling, diving, wreck diving, para sailing, Sea kayaking, lake fishing, river fishing, canoing and Deep sea fishing. Panama City Beach is also home to the annual, by invitation only Bay Point Bill Fish Tournament which draws hundreds of sport fisherman to this world class event.

Recognized by Golf Digest Magazine as one of America's top three golf destinations, Bay County's golf courses boast world class courses with pristine fairways, reasonable fees and plenty of choices for all skill levels.  Our golf courses include a top PGA school, the only Nicklaus Designed course in Northwest Florida, plus our newest course is the Gregg Norman designed Shark's Tooth.  There are many more courses with scenic and beautiful country club settings.  Tee time is any time of year in Florida!  Thanks to our mild winters you can enjoy your favorite sport year round!  Golf is your hobby you have found your nirvana. More information on these can be found under Local Information.

If shopping is more your style, Panama City downtown and the St Andrew marina area offer quaint boutiques and shops. The Panama City Mall offers indoor shopping, while Panama City Beach has Pier Park a large outdoor mall. Panama City Beach also has the normal assorted tourist’s shops. Plus there are many, many little strip malls throughout the county offering shops with unique items and clothing.

If you are a parent, I know the school system will be of great importance to you. Bay District School System takes great pride in its schools and actually grades them A-F based on a standardized test call FCAT. This year many of the schools are being rezoned. I provide a link to the official site for you to verify that a particular property is in the school zone you want - you’ll find it and more information on schools grades, zones, and individual schools, in the official Bay County School websites in Local Information.

I provide information on the available medical services -here -

Check out our section dedicated to Short Sales, preventing foreclosure and HAFA.  In keeping up with the market and to better serve my clients, I've recently finished the course work, training and have been awarded the Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) designation, and Certified HAFA Specialist.

Well, I could go on forever, but there is an entire site full of great information, real estate calculators and free reports about Panama real estate and buying and selling property in Bay County plus information for Military moves and relocations for you to explore.
